1. Who we are

Decent Softwares ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile app studio based in India that designs, builds and publishes consumer apps for iOS and Android. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit decentsoftwares.in (the "website") or contact us.

Each of our apps on the App Store and Google Play has its own privacy policy, linked from its store listing, which describes the data that app collects.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

When you use the contact form, the "Plan your app" tool or email us, we receive:

• your name and email address;
• the services you're interested in and the details of your project or message;
• any app plan you choose to send us (platform, features and design needs).

The "Plan your app" tool runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you select is sent to us unless you choose to send it.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider and the third-party services we use (listed in section 4) may automatically receive technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type and the pages you request. We do not currently use analytics or advertising trackers on this website.

3. How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and discuss your project.
• To prepare proposals, estimates and agreements you ask for.
• To keep a record of our conversations with you.
• To keep the website secure and working properly, and to prevent spam.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We will not send you marketing emails unless you ask us to, and we never sell your personal information.

4. Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us run the website and respond to you:

• FormSubmit (formsubmit.co): delivers contact form messages to our inbox.
• Our email provider: stores the emails we send and receive.
• Our website hosting provider: serves the website to you.
• Google Fonts, cdnjs and unpkg: deliver the fonts and code libraries the website uses. Your browser connects to them directly, which shares your IP address with them.

These providers may process data outside India. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public.

5. Cookies and browser storage

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. It uses your browser's session storage to remember that you've already seen the opening animation during your visit. This is cleared when you close the tab. Our third-party providers may set their own technical cookies.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails and messages for as long as needed to respond and, if we work together, for the length of our relationship and any period required by law (for example, for accounting and tax records). You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see section 8).

7. Security

The website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we limit access to your information to people who need it to work with you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you;
• correct or update inaccurate information;
• delete your information;
• withdraw consent you've given us.

To make a request, email support@decentsoftwares.in. We'll respond within a reasonable time. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may contact the relevant data protection authority.

9. Children

This website is meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 through it. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the website.
